Aesthetics Program

 

This program (under development) is designed to provide a way to study various forms of art - music, literature, painting, movement arts - by means of the insights and understandings of Romantic Science. 

 

Each of the traditional arts can be examined and better appreciated when looked at objectively and comprehensively within a living, dynamic framework, as an integral part of Western philosophy and science.

 

Equally, each of the arts can then be integrated into a more comprehensive romantic therapeutics for individuals and couples.

 

One striking example of this is the work of Suzanne Langer regarding 'objective feeling', the paintings (and writings) of Wassily Kandinsky (Russian painter), and the lectures and writings of Rudolf Steiner on eurhythmy or etheric movement. All of these link aesthetics to function and to the evolution of mind and consciousness.
